On Monday, Paris St. Germain announced that Lionel Messi is back in training after being suspended for missing a training session in Saudi Arabia.
French media stated that Messi was suspended for two weeks after an unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia the day after the Ligue 1 leaders’ 3-1 loss to Lorient.
On Sunday, PSG won 3-1 at second-bottom Troyes without Messi, who apologized to PSG and his teammates on Friday.
PSG said, “The Argentinian striker from Paris Saint-Germain was back in training on Monday 8 May.”
With four rounds left, PSG leads Lens by six points and Olympique de Marseille by eight.
Recent rumors have surrounded Messi’s PSG future.
Argentina’s captain, who turns 36 next month, received an official offer to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal next season, Reuters said.
Messi visited Jeddah in May 2022 after being named Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambassador last year.
He faced Cristiano Ronaldo in a January friendly match with PSG against a Saudi League team.
